Bagdad retire sa licence à Blackwater pour la punir d'une fusillade en 2007

A deux jours d'élections provinciales, l'Irak a annoncé jeudi la fin de la licence de la société américaine Blackwater, symbole de l'entrée des sociétés privées dans les guerres au XXIe, dont cinq agents sont poursuivis par la justice pour une fusillade ayant tué des Irakiens en 2007. "Le contrat est terminé. Il ne sera pas renouvelé sur ordre du ministre de l'Intérieur (...) à cause de l'incident de la fusillade en 2007", a indiqué le général Abdel Karim Khalaf, porte-parole du ministère irakien de l'Intérieur.
