Bekaert response

  1. What immediate action your company has taken or intends to take to evaluate and respond to the implications of the mobilisation decree?

We are not aware about any requests imposing specific activity of the company in informing personnel members (including summons) as a result of the referred-to decree.

We are not aware about any requests for the company to deliver goods or services as a result of the referred-to decree.

  1. How are you planning to mitigate the heightened risk of contributing or being directly linked to the armed conflict and exacerbating the situation?

At Bekaert we are united by the belief that there should be no harm to anyone, and as a consequence, we condemn any act of violence and aggression against people. This implies that we do not contribute to armed conflicts. Our company has continued its local-for-local operations in Russia in support of the livelihood of the employees and their families. However: we have significantly scaled back the activities in and with Russia and all investments in Russia were put on hold since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Please find herewith the full Bekaert official statement about the company’s activities in and with Russia.
