We want to clarify that, at no point, has the company expressed a preference for workplace committees over trade unions, nor have we indicated any reluctance toward the formation of trade unions. Currently, Employee Councils operate actively at all facilities,...

...Employee Councils are officially recognized by the Sri Lanka Board of Investment (BOI), and employees elect Employee Council representatives democratically through BOI-supervised elections. Each Brandix facility has over 70% female representation within these councils. Additionally, we have implemented a specific policy, developed in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which allows Trade Unions or third parties to engage with our workforce and management.

Lastly, Freedom of Association is considered a critical non-compliance issue. Brandix facilities undergo regular audits by customers and third-party accredited agencies such as SLCP, WRAP, BSCI, and SMETA...
