Overall, companies in the chemical industry have displayed willingness to engage with human rights issues. Some companies have identified policies and practices to address human rights. However, only a few address human rights due diligence and the links between the use of chemicals and their health and environmental impacts in a holistic and stringent manner. The industry bears great potential for improved human rights performance.
