Cambodia: Govt. launch National Social Protection Policy Framework 2024-2035 to cover income insecurity of employees and workers

The “National Social Protection Policy Framework 2024-2035” was launched this morning under the presidency of Prime Minister Hun Manet.
This event coincided with the annual “Cambodia Social Protection Week 2025” opening ceremony.
In his keynote address, Premier Hun Manet remarked that the “National Social Protection Policy Framework 2024-2035” and the “Cambodia Social Protection Week 2025” serve as essential guides and events to enhance the welfare and living conditions of citizens, as well as to foster human capital development and combat poverty.
The National Social Protection Policy Framework 2024-2035 is designed with a long-term vision to provide support against income insecurity at every stage of life. It focuses on promoting health and welfare, alleviating poverty, addressing gender inequalities and social inequality, and strengthening social solidarity, stability, and equity, he noted.
… The “Cambodia Social Protection Week 2025” presents opportunities for dialogue, the exchange of views, knowledge, and best practices among stakeholders, particularly to inform the public and beneficiaries about the benefits citizens will receive from the social protection system in Cambodia.
