Carlsberg: Beer is not essential; workers’ rights are [Lithuania]

Carlsberg — the world’s fourth largest brewery, with hundreds of brands sold around the globe — has frozen the wages of workers at its Lithuanian brewery for three years...They’ve even called in the police to investigate striking workers, and sacked 9 of them as punishment, only to rehire them on temporary contracts. Carlsberg thinks it can act with impunity — but if they hear enough outrage from their consumers, they’ll have to think twice...[S]end a message directly to Carlsberg executives to let them know beer drinkers worldwide want them to respect workers’ rights.
