China Labor Watch submission to UN Working Group on business & human rights

In November 2012, China Labor Watch submitted materials to the UN Working Group on business and human rights, which included the report, “Beyond Foxconn : Deplorable Working Conditions Characterize Apple’s Entire Supply Chain”. The report contains allegations about working conditions in ten Apple supplier factories based on investigations conducted by China Labor Watch in each factory from January 2012 to the end of April 2012. According to the report, “many of the factories…investigated performed much worse than Foxconn in key areas of workers’ rights such as overtime hours, pay, and labor dispatching”. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited the companies named below to respond to the report:
