[DOC] Yate: a march for Goro Nickel [New Caledonia]

Employees and subcontractors from Yate in favour of the Goro Nickel project marched yesterday morning from the community hall at Waho to the town hall, where they defended their work and demanded an intervention by the mayor... At Yate between the pro and the anti-Goro Nickel that are divided on views concerning the industrial project, but also politics, traditional powers and ancient land-based squabbles, the divisions between clans and even within families are painful and have created an atmosphere full of menace... Yesterday anyway, it was a question of peacefully defending the right to work. "This march is not against Rheebu Nuu, but for all those people who want to work", stated Felix Koroma.
