Dulcinea Farms response to rights abuse by labour supplier Rancho Nuevo Harvesting

Dulcina Farms

Dulcinea Farms has reviewed your article and does not condone the type of conduct and the labor violations cited by the Department of Labor. We applaud the Department of Labor for its investigative work and bringing this company’s actions to light. We hope this case will further educate the agricultural community and help motivate employers to invest more time and effort into their labor compliance programs.

It appears that Rancho Nuevo violated the H-2A visa program from 2020 through 2023. You should note that our company has not done business with Rancho Nuevo since 2019, and due to this recent news, will not work with Rancho Nuevo again in the future.

Our company has always been committed to ensuring that our operations are safe, compliant, and respectful of the workforce that works so hard to harvest our fruit. To support our company’s compliance, our Human Resources Department implemented an internal compliance program where we audit our contractors.

We investigate any complaints rigorously to ensure worker rights are upheld.
