Dutch NCP research into the oil and gas sector and the OECD Guidelines

In October 2016, former Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen, on behalf of the Cabinet, requested the Dutch National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (NCP), to examine the compliance of the Dutch oil and gas sector with the OECD Guidelines.

This is the first time an NCP was asked to carry out a cross sector research and to give advise on the matter.

By the end of January 2019, the NCP presented the research, as conducted by CE Delft/Arcadis,  accompanied by a letter of the NCP to the Minister. On 18 April 2019, the Minister sent the NCP-letter together with the report and an appreciation of the Cabinet, to the Dutch Parliament...
