Empresa de Generación Eléctrica Punta Catalina did not respond to allegations of environmental contamination and corruption related to thermoelectric power plant

The CIEDH invited Empresa de Generación Eléctrica Punta Catalina to respond to the report of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) which alleges that "the Punta Catalina thermoelectric plant seriously violates the rights of children in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba and Jamaica", in addition to mentioning "evidence of environmental contamination and corruption", demanding the immediate closure of the plant, but the company did not respond.
