Estados Unidos: Sancionan a once empresas chinas por violaciones de derechos humanos contra grupo minoritario musulmán

“Estados Unidos sancionó a otras 11 empresas chinas por su rol en la violación de los derechos humanos de la minoría uigur” - 20 de julio de 2020

Estados Unidos sancionó este lunes a otras once empresas chinas por su vínculo con la violación sistemática de los derechos humanos por parte del régimen chino sobre la minoría étnica uigur en la provincia de Xinjiang, en la región oeste del país... “Están involucradas en violaciones de derechos humanos vinculadas a la implementación de la campaña de represión, encarcelamiento masivo, trabajo forzado, recolección involuntaria de datos biométricos y análisis genéticos dirigidos a las minorías musulmanas en la región autónoma uigur de Xinjiang”, expresó el ministerio en un comunicado... Las empresas a las que refiere el comunicado son Changji Esquel Textile, Hefei Bitland Information Technology, Hefei Meiling, Hetian Haolin Hair Accessories, Hetian Taida Apparel, KTK Group, Nanjing Synergy Textiles, Nanchang O-Film Tech y Tanyuan Technology... Las dos compañías restantes, Xinjiang Silk Road y Beijing Liuhe, figuran en la lista debido a sus análisis genéticos que “sirven para reprimir a los uigures y otras minorías musulmanas”, se indicó. No son las primeras en integrar la lista, sino que se agregan a una lista ya existente, que también incluye funcionarios del Partido Comunista chino...
