Hensoldt's response to the UN Experts' call to cease arms transfers to Israel

On 3 July 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Hensoldt to respond to the call by UN Experts to cease the transfer of arms to Israel. The company did not respond by the deadline, but it did by 24 September 2024.

Hensoldt response to the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, 24 September 2024:

"As a defense contractor, HENSOLDT complies with all national and international export regulations.

This is ensured by an internal organization and company-wide processes that are monitored and audited.

Exports of military equipment only take place after official export licenses have been issued. The human rights situation in the recipient country is a key aspect in the review of export license decisions by the authorities and governments.

In addition to legal requirements, HENSOLDT has committed itself to ethical principles that apply globally to all HENSOLDT business.

HENSOLDT has implemented the necessary processes for the protection of human rights in its own business area and in the supply chain in corporate principles, guidelines and procedural instructions, which apply throughout the Group and are strictly monitored.
