Hilton response to recruitment-fee charging at Nepali agency Vision & Value

After conducting due diligence on Vision & Value in 2019, Hilton signed three contracts with Vision & Value. Hilton never utilized two of the contracts and never posted any vacancies pursuant to those contracts. Hilton is in the process of formally terminating these two contracts.

Hilton already has onboarded 30 Team Members at a single hotel pursuant to the third contract. In response to questions posed during the standard onboarding process, each of the 30 Team Members indicated that Vision & Value had not required them to pay any fees other than the government-mandated labor clearance fee, and reported no other facts indicative of modern slavery risks. Three additional Team Members from Vision & Value are in the process of being onboarded to the same hotel. After these Team Members complete their quarantine in Qatar, Hilton will interview them to determine whether Vision & Value required them to pay any fees other than the government-mandated labor clearance fee. If so, Hilton will take appropriate action.

Regardless of whether Vision & Value engaged in any improper conduct, Hilton intends to terminate the remaining contract with Vision & Value.
