H&M update

“We take this situation very seriously, and we remain engaged in the process and outcome. Employer and different trade union affiliates have a conflict which has escalated to termination of 3 people. The Ministry of Labor was informed, visited the factory and made a full assessment with interviews, resulting in approving the decision of the termination. The trade union federation further disagrees. They can appeal this decision to the Minister, but have not done so yet. All processes have been executed thus far in accordance with the law. We are currently in dialogue with all parties to the matter; the supplier, various unions, NGO representatives, and other brands having a business relationship with this supplier. We hope there will be continued dialogue between the supplier and the workers through the unions involved, to support well-functioning industrial relations and to find a solution satisfactory to all parties. This is an ongoing case and we are very concerned about the impact on the workers, hence, we remain engaged and will continue to push the parties to the negotiating table”
