Indígenas de Ecuador piden a AI y CIDH vigilar fase final de juicio a Texaco

El abogado ecuatoriano Pablo Fajardo, que representa a miles de indígenas y colonos de la Amazonía de su país en un juicio por daño ambiental contra la petrolera Chevron-Texaco, pidió a Amnistía Internacional (AI) y a la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) que vigilen la parte final del proceso. Fajardo justificó en entrevista con Efe su petición debido a la actitud de Chevron, que ha denunciado un posible "fraude" en el proceso, porque, a juicio del abogado, "se siente acorralada ante la posibilidad de que haya una sentencia en (su) contra".
