KappAhl's response to allegations of abuses in Myanmar garment factories

In January 2023, KappAhl sent us the following response re. Honor Apparel:

Last order from Honor Apparel Garment was placed in 2020, so this is not a garment factory in our supply chain. Kappahl has not had any operations in Myanmar as off July 2021. We left because the workers' organization IndustriAll Global Union recommended companies to do so, due to the situation following the military coup in February 2021. Prior to the decision, Kappahl monitored developments in Myanmar and regrettably saw nothing to indicate that there would be any change in the situation such as would enable us to safely, securely and effectively place orders in Myanmar again in the foreseeable future. We therefore made the decision to shut down our production office in Myanmar and no longer purchase garments from the country.
