LPKF response

...LPKF is a technology company based in Germany with an export share of over 80 %. When the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine started on 24th February 2022, we immediately stopped all our deliveries to Russia completely and for an unlimited period of time that is still ongoing. As of now, LPKF has no business activities in Russia, including any kind of service and spare part support.

The StencilLaser G 6080 is classified as a non-dual use good according to EU DU VO 2021/821.

Furthermore, I would like to explain our delivery policy to defense companies in light of our company values. We take the utmost care to ensure that our systems and technologies are only delivered to companies or countries that could not pose a danger or threat to Western democracies. In doing so, we strictly adhere to all relevant legal requirements in our own interest:

  • # EU Dual Use Regulation // EC REG 2021/821 (EUR-Lex - 02021R0821-20231216 - EN - EUR-Lex (europa.eu))
  • # EU Regulation concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine // EC Reg 833/2014 (EUR-Lex - 02014R0833-20240224 - EN - EUR-Lex (europa.eu))
  • # Other country-specific EU embargo regulations (see “afk_embargo_overview”)
  • # Foreign Trade and Payments Act (AWG) of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMWK - Außenwirtschaftsgesetz)
  • # Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance (AWV) of the Federal Republic of Germany (AWV - non-official table of contents (gesetze-im-internet.de))

We consider deliveries to defense contractors that ensure the defense of human rights and the free and democratic countries of this world to be absolutely permissible (and not just since Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine). However, we also carry out a careful examination here to ensure that the use of our technologies is in line with our ethical principles and applicable laws.
