Repeated harassment and threats by military and anonymous individuals against human rights defender Martín Fernández Guzmán, General Coordinator of Movimiento Amplio por la Dignidad y la Justicia (MADJ), which carries out research and actions defending the right to land and the rights of indigenous peoples and combating corruption in Honduras. The focus of MADJ have been impacts on communities around deposits in Yoro and the impacts on the community of La Nueva Esperanza, in Atlántida department, where Minerales Victoria is operating.
