US appeals court has ruled that Mexico's $10 billion lawsuit against American gun manufacturers for trafficking of weapons to drug cartels at the US-Mexico border can move forward despite federal law protecting firearms industry from lawsuits over their products' misuse.
The two organisations submitted legal comments in response to Mexico's request for an Advisory Opinion from the Court. The Court is expected to issue its Advisory Opinion in 2024.
