A worker from Nadia Pacific Apparel Co.,Ltd...was stabbed with scissors by the [supervisor] and [was] severely harmed.
The victim is a 22 years old male and had to[ be] treat[ed] [for] 3 days for the injury.
“He said most of my [clothes] are failing in quality and how am I [meeting the targets]. Then he stabbed me...
I was so scared but I continue[d] to work until 18:00 [when the targets were] finished,” said the injured worker.
The worker was injured around 10:30 am on January 31st and went to the social security clinic the next day....
“...this is the second time I [was] harmed. The first time was hitting my head with barehand, pinch my arm and shouted with the microphone. I was so scared and I didn’t work for a week...,” said the worker.
Around 50 workers left as they are physically assaulted...
“We reported to the officials but they didn’t take any actions upon the [supervisor]. Therefore I am scared. That’s why I don’t do anything. My younger brother had [faced] the same [treatment] and he left as he was embarrassed,” said the victim.
The worker have been working as a garment worker for 4 years and working at Nadia Pacific Apparel Co.,Ltd for more than 2 years. The victim’s family said that they want the factory to...take proper actions upon the preparator.
