Myanmar: Workers at Galaxy Myanmar garment factory allegedly face labour rights abuses; incl. co. responses

In September 2023, it was reported that workers at Galaxy (Myanmar) faced a series of violations, including an increase in production targets, verbal abuse and aggressive behaviour by the owner, pregnant workers made to work same hours as other workers, workers who can’t meet targets dismissed, denial of permanent contracts for day labourers, who were dismissed after they had completed work orders, denial of leave and wage cuts if workers take leave, no access to a medical clinic and workers fainting due to lack of fans.
