Alsea, compañía operadora de las marcas de restaurantes como Domino’s Pizza, Starbucks, Burger King, Chili’s, P. F. Chang’s, Italianni's, The Cheesecake Factory y Vips, ha establecido un programa de ausencia voluntaria de 30 días sin goce de sueldo para sus colaboradoras/es. La política ha sido criticada por medios de comunicación, redes sociales y el Presidente de la República, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. La empresa emitió un comunicación para atender dichas críticas.

El Centro de Información sobre Empresas y Derechos Humanos contactó a BlackRock, Invesco, Vanguard Group y Norges Bank - inversionistas de Alsea; las empresas no respondieron.
