México: Comités locales demandan a Buenavista del Cobre por derrame en el río Sonora – empresa dueña de la mina, Grupo México, responde y declara sus acciones de remediación

Los Comités de Cuenca Río Sonora, acompañadas por Poder, interpusieron acciones legales ante las presuntas irregularidades de las autoridades mexicanas y de la minera Buenavista del Cobre, parte de Grupo México, con relación al derrame al Río Sonora ocurrido en agosto de 2014.

El Centro de Información sobre Empresas y Derechos Humanos invitó a Grupo México a responder a estas denuncias. La respuesta se encuentra disponible abajo.

Posteriormente, nosotros también invitamos a Grupo México a responder a las réplicas de las organizaciones, pero la empresa decidió no hacerlo y en su lugar reiteró su postura contenida en la primera respuesta.
