Nestle responds to migrant child labour allegations within US supply chains

Child labor is unacceptable and we take any allegations relating to child labor in our supply chain seriously. That is why we are committed to working with our suppliers, partners and local communities to help identify, prevent and address child labor risks in our supply chain.

As part of our responsible sourcing efforts third-party auditors have conducted audits of Darigold facilities over the time-period in the article. Indications of child labor were not found. While audits of individual farms are managed by the dairy supplier, we expect practices at their co-op member farms to be consistent with the requirements in our responsible sourcing policy, in addition to complying with the supplier’s own labor standards.

We actively manage our compliance and auditing programs, including reviewing our internal processes on an annual basis, and are always looking for ways to enhance our approach.
