Nestlé response to CSO calls for coffee sector to "cease attacks" on EUDR
…As the European Coffee Federation has outlined in its direct response, it has always been committed to the successful implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and has dedicated significant resources to minimize and mitigate the risk of deforestation in the coffee supply chain. It has never attempted to undermine the EUDR. Concerns regarding the implementation timeline of the EUDR were related to the absence of practical tools and guidelines needed to comply with the Regulation, which subsequently had an impact on the ability of all relevant actors to prepare for its implementation. It was not linked to the industry's willingness to comply.

We have never called for any delay of the EUDR and have always opposed any calls to re-open the substance of the EUDR for new negotiations…
