...This paper provides key insights on [Responsible Business Conduct] in light of the CS3D, and what it means for its implementation in Africa. The focus is on Sub-Saharan Africa. It sets out an action plan for African policymakers to boost responsible business conduct and in so doing, ensure that the activities of businesses and investors in Africa are aligned with the needs of society, today and in the future. It illustrates how the implementation of CS3D could impact three commodities sourced from Africa: cotton, cocoa and copper, that land in the clothes, cups and cars of the European consumer.
