ngena's response

8 January 2021

Thank you for reaching out to us. ngena is committed to protecting human rights as it is part of our corporate policy and code of conduct. ngena also expects all its business partners and suppliers to respect human rights.

Regarding Viettel/Mytel, we can confirm that there is a contractual relationship between ngena and Viettel Telecom in Vietnam, but no contract with any of Viettel's subsidiaries (e.g. Mytel), which means that Viettel's subsidiaries cannot use or sell ngena services. ngena will not provide services to Mytel, so the statement that "allegations of contribution to human rights abuses through business relations with Myanmar military in Myanmar" is not correct.

We are constantly reviewing our partnerships and are of course grateful for the constant media attention. Please let me know if you are interested in SD-WAN as a service in general or ngena as a company. I would be happy to send you more details.
