Nigeria: Amnesty accuse Shell de "manipuler" les études sur les fuites de pétrole

Amnesty International accuse le pétrolier Shell de nier ses responsabilités dans les fuites de pétrole au Nigeria, rejetant la faute sur les gangs criminels, dans un rapport publié jeudi. Le géant pétrolier anglo-néerlandais, a lui, rejeté l’accusation la considérant « sans fondement »…Les compagnies pétrolières, et Shell en particulier, manipulent les résultats des enquêtes sur ces fuites, accusant les voleurs de pétrole d’en être responsables alors que leurs propres infrastructures, souvent mal entretenues, sont aussi en cause, ajoute le rapport…Le sabotage ainsi provoqué cause d’importantes fuites de pétrole, « cause principale de pollution dans le Delta aujourd’hui » estime Precious Okolobo, porte-parole de la filliale nigériane de Shell, SPDC…[Fait aussi référence à Agip (filiale de Eni), Eni]
