STATEMENT OF COCA-COLA FEMSA PHILIPPINES ON THE DAVAO PICKET

Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines (KOF PH) acknowledges and respects the voice of all KOF PH Unions. We consider our people as the top resource of the organization and deeply value their significant contribution to the company. We encourage them to lawfully exercise their right to express their opinions on issues that may have a bearing on their rights as employees.

Our organization adheres to the Workplace Rights of The Coca-Cola Company and the labor law of the country where were operate. We manage our business in accordance with the principles of trust, honesty, and integrity.

The incident, which transpired on April 02, 2018, was truly unfortunate. A group of individuals conducted an illegal picket in front of our Davao Distribution Center. These individuals were not employees of KOF PH, but have been identified as former and current employees of Work Experts and Allied Services Inc. (WEASI) – a third party agency of KOF PH for warehousing requirements.

KOF PH coordinated closely with the management of WEASI, as well as the local government unit, to ensure a peaceful negotiation between the two parties last April 02. The management of WEASI has assured us that they are resolving their internal labor issues promptly and fairly. #
