Response from G4S to questions on the provision of surveillance tech and due diligence in the context of migration or border control in MENA

**Updated 28 September 2022** - We received an updated response from G4S clarifying the company's grievance mechanism on 28 September 2022. G4S said “[we] regularly encourage employees to use our Speak Out service if they have any concerns about human rights violations. In addition, any concerns raised via our public channels (website, social media) will also be reviewed and escalated where appropriate”, adding that, “Serious concerns are investigated or overseen at a senior and independent level, under the oversight of the Regional and International Ethics Committees." Further, G4S said, "For clarity, Speak Out is a core element of G4S's global grievance mechanisms. It is primarily targeted at employees but is also available to former employees, customers, suppliers, and others. In addition, we receive notice of grievances and concerns through various publicly available channels. In either case, cases will be reviewed and where serious will be investigated or overseen at a senior and independent level, under the oversight of the Ethics Committees."
