GeoProMining Verkhne-Menkeche has again been found in violation of mine safety regulations, 31 January 2023
Twenty-two violations of mandatory industrial safety requirements were revealed by employees of the Lena Department of Rostechnadzor at a hazardous production facility "Mining Capital Construction Site of the Verkhne-Menkeche deposit of GeoProMining Verkhne-Menkeche LLC." It is reported on site offices.

It was found that: there is no fastening of the mine workings, in field drifts the fastening lags behind the face; the collision avoidance system of the transport machine is defective; the staff is understaffed; there is a deviation from the design documentation, there is no sensor for detecting the initial stage of fire in the adit that supplies fresh air to the mine workings, the alarm system for notification of the initial stage of fire is not displayed on the dispatcher's desk; tobacco products are allowed to be carried and smoking is allowed in the mine workings.

A case was initiated against the legal entity for an offense under Part 1 of Article 9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation...
