VGOK lost court case against Rostechnadzor's fine for gross violation of industrial safety, 28 February 2022

The Arbitration Court of Sverdlovsk Region refused to reduce the fine that the company received from Ural department of Rostechnadzor. The department demanded half a million rubles from VGOK for gross violations of industrial safety standards (Part 3 of Article 9.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

In May last year, a plant worker was injured at Yuzhnaya mine. Based on the results of the investigation, Rostekhnadzor brought the company to administrative responsibility. VGOK appealed to the court with a demand to reduce the fine.
