Saudi Arabia: Campaign against child labour underway

"Campaign against child labor begins tomorrow", 15 Nov 2014

Child labor is one of the biggest issues that human rights organizations deal with, especially in developing countries. The National Family Safety Program of the National Guard, in cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Women’s World Summit Foundation — WWSF Department of Children and Youth — will launch a four-day national campaign to curb child labor under the slogan “red card against child labor.” The campaign will run from Nov. 16 across the Kingdom to highlight child labor as abusive and illegal.

Sarah Siraj Abed, executive director of the National Family Safety Program in the Western Region, said that WWSF annually launched its campaigns in support of women and children from Nov. 1 to Nov, 19 as “19 Days of Activism for prevention of abuse and violence against children and youth.”...
