In May 2022, family of a Bangladeshi woman filed a complaint with the Anti-Human Trafficking Offence Tribunal after the woman contacted her mother, explaining her situation. The woman reportedly is "held captive" and was "physically assaulted" since April. The recruitment agency which promised her a well-paying job, Aziz & Sons, allegedly played a role in her ordeal, as reports claim they were complicit in "trafficking" the woman into Saudi Arabia. The reports claim that in exchange for discharging the woman, a ransom of around USD1,100 was demanded by the accused, which includes the director and office executive of Aziz & Sons Recruitment Agency.
