Die SPD im Bundestag hat die FDP aufgefordert, ihr Nein zum geplanten europäischen Lieferkettengesetz doch noch zurückzunehmen.
„Die FDP erteilt mit ihrer Absage an das europäische Lieferkettengesetz gleichzeitig eine Absage an faire Wettbewerbsbedingungen für die deutsche Wirtschaft“, sagte SPD-Fraktionsvize Dagmar Schmidt am Donnerstag in Berlin. Zuvor hatte es aus Regierungskreisen geheißen, dass die FDP-geführten Ministerin für Justiz und für Finanzen nicht mittrügen. Damit droht das geplante Gesetz zu scheitern.
Schmidt sagte: „Damit verspielen wir auch unser Vertrauen auf europäischer Ebene.“ Im Koalitionsvertrag habe sich die Ampel auf eine Unterstützung eines wirksamen EU-Lieferkettengesetzes geeinigt, sofern es kleine und mittlere Unternehmen nicht überfordere. „Viele Unternehmen haben sich bereits darauf eingestellt und begrüßen das Gesetz“, sagte Schmidt. „Ich fordere die zuständigen FDP-Minister auf, ihre Blockadehaltung aufzugeben, Menschenrechte zu schützen und den Weg für einen fairen Wettbewerb in der gesamten EU freizumachen.“
