Telegram did not respond to allegations of the misuse of its messaging app & to requests from CSOs to stop the abuse

On 31 August, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Telegram to respond to the allegations regarding the utilization of its messaging app to identify and disseminate information about people in Myanmar who criticize the Myanmar Junta. Additionally, CSO alleged that Telegram has ignored requests from civil society organizations to stop the abuse of its platform in Myanmar. Telegram did not respond.
