Turkey: Boohoo demands discounts of more than 30% from Turkish suppliers as it looks to lower supply chain costs; incl. co. response

Boohoo has reportedly asked Turkish suppliers to match the prices of Pakistan suppliers. It is understood that some suppliers were told their orders would be cancelled if they don’t comply with the new pricing, which are said to be more than 30% lower than the original prices agreed. It is also understood that most of the items involved are either in production or have been shipped.

Boohoo works with more than 250 suppliers in Turkey, according to the company’s factory list published at the start of 2022.

It follows the group's 10% discount request to suppliers earlier in the year.

The Resource Centre asked Boohoo for comment. Response below.
