Miners of Inhulska mine blocked Kropyvnytskyi - Kryvyi Rih - Zaporizhzhia road near the village of Berezhynka, Kropyvnytskyi district. The miners protested in Berezhynka because of non-payment of wages, Dmytro Bondariev, head of the independent trade union of mine workers, told Suspilne.

According to Vadym Kosarenko, deputy director of Eastern Mining and Processing Plant, the plant's debts to employees due to the low price of uranium concentrate now exceed half a billion hryvnias.

On 8 July workers of three uranium mines in the region: Inhulska, Novokostyantynivska and Smolinska blocked the road to Uman near the village of Smolino in Novoukrainsky district. Fifty miners were walking across the road day and night.
