The US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI) held a hearing on US companies whose products are repeatedly found in Russian weapons used in the war in Ukraine.
During the hearing, testimony was heard from four large U.S. semiconductor producers -Analog Devices, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel, and Texas Instruments - whose products constitute over 40% of the components in Russian weapons.
The hearing probed the companies’ compliance with export controls aimed at blocking Russia from accessing American technology.
The Subcommittee also presented a report where it highlighted the lack of action by these companies and presented recommendations based on report's findings.
