...Vale SA (“Vale”) hereby provides clarification on the information contained in the Report “ATRASOS - Relatório de entrega dos reassentamentos - Mariana/MG” (“DELAYS - Report on Delivery of Resettlements”) (“Report”), released in February 2021 by the Commission of People Affected by the Fundão Dam in Mariana (CABF) and Technical Advisory at Cáritas Regional Minas Gerais. Vale clarifies that its management is based on the respect, awareness, and promotion of Human Rights, as well as the prevention of potential adverse impacts and, when necessary, the mitigation and remediation of those impacts...In relation to the points highlighted in the report, we would like to present clarifications through the document prepared by the Renova Foundation, the entity created in 2016, with the objective of carrying out the reparation of and compensation for the impacts associated with the rupture of the Fundão Dam, of Samarco, which took place on November 5, 2015.
