WRAP's statement on TTNC Watch report on Taiwanese Businesses in Indonesia
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is deeply committed to upholding socially responsible manufacturing practices worldwide and validating that the facilities we work with adhere to our 12 Principles addressing labor, health, safety, and ethical standards. We take all allegations of certified facilities violating these Principles seriously and have launched an investigation.
We are aware that some of the allegations mentioned in the report in question have been subject to judicial proceedings in Indonesia and as a rule-of-law program, we respect adjudications made by courts of competent authority. Our review will focus on the other allegations as we seek to verify whether the facility in question continues to align with the requirements of WRAP’s Certification Program.
We appreciate you reaching out and providing us with this opportunity to engage on this important matter.
