Leading companies sponsor new Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G4)

Ten world-leading companies are the global sponsors of the next generation of sustainability reporting guidelines, announced GRI on Wednesday 29 June. Alcoa, Enel, GE, Goldman Sachs, Natura and Shell are supporting GRI during the two year development of the Guidelines. GRI will also count on the expertise and support of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PwC...The next generation of Guidelines...planned to be published in 2013 and will be developed using GRI’s multi-stakeholder consultation process...Nelmara Arbex, Deputy Chief Executive of the Global Reporting Initiative, said: “We are very glad that these leading companies are joining us on this journey to improve and develop the GRI Guidelines..."...Registration for the first G4 Public Comment Period is now open. The 90 day Public Comment Period will begin in August 2011.
