Malawi: Local advocacy group alleges Carlsberg Breweries' subsidiary polluting local river; company responds

The Institute of Sustainable Development, a local advocacy group, recently wrote to Carlsberg Malawi, a subsidiary alleging that the brewery has been discharging its effluent into the local river. In its response, the company rejected the allegations and stated that it discharges its effluent into the municipal sewage system.
