Workers at two McDonald's restaurants in the UK are planning to strike on 4 September, US Labour Day, with support from workers and organisers in New Zealand and Belgium. The organisers are asking for international support and for other workers and unions to participate in the Labour Day action. Demands include higher wages, secure contracts with guaranteed hours and formal trade union recognition from McDonald’s.
