The Ministry Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) is reportedly planning to create a fund that will cover payment of unpaid salaries of migrant workers employed by companies whose businesses have been adversely affected by the Gulf crisis or are in a slump… [The] Philippine Labour Secretary… said that during his meeting with the Qatari minister, he mentioned the plight of around 644 Filipino workers in Qatar, who have not been paid their salaries by their respective employers for two to six months.
