USA: Baltimore bridge collision shipping firm linked to historic labour rights & safety issues
Ships belonging to Grace Ocean Private - the company whose container vessel crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore on 26 March, leaving 6 presumed dead - have been accused in recent years of labour violations, which include underpaying ship crews and holding crew members on board for months past their contracts, according to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
