UAE: Construction of Dubai Expo 2020 set to peak next year with 43,000 workers

Work at the Dubai Expo 2020 site will peak in 2018 and early 2019 with an estimated 43,000 workers, an official told Arabian Business...Work has already started on laying stormwater, sewage and irrigation pipeline and power cables. When asked if work will continue non-stop (24 hours) on site, the official said certain projects will be under construction at all times, without giving specific details...In April 2016, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) put the total construction cost at $114.44 million (AED420 million).
