UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation conducts midday break inspections, finds 99.8% of firms to be in compliance

Only 47 companies out of more than 29,000 have been found violating the UAE's midday break rules since its launch a month ago...records were gathered across the UAE by 18 teams of inspectors, pointing out that 29,232 inspectional visits were carried out during the past month, and 16,651 informative visits took place during the same period...[T]he rule...prevents any sort of work under direct sunlight between 12.30pm and 3pm for three months from June to September to ensure the safety and health of the workers. Violators will be fined AED5,000 per worker found working during those hours, to a maximum AED50,000 if the case involved a huge number of workers.
