...Enterprises should: Avoid causing/contributing to adverse impacts on human rights and address impacts;  Prevent or mitigate adverse impacts on human rights directly linked to operations, products or services by their business relationships even if they have not contributed to them.  To meet their responsibilities, they must put in place policies and processes appropriate to size and circumstances…The issue is no longer about if businesses should protect human rights, but how.   Increasing regulatory landscape of hard and soft law, which will only increase.  Turning thoughts into action will still take time.  Most successful efforts see the initiative driven from the top down…
